Model, Hilary Rhoda attended the FIFI Awards in a beige strapless Jacques Fath dress.  I like the pleated origami detailing at the neckline as well the peplum waist.  But what made the look, in my opinion were the blue-hued drop earrings.  It brought out her eyes and added color to an outfit that might have been too plain otherwise.  Her layered bracelets, metallic clutch, and black Jimmy Choo strappy sandals were the perfect way to accessorize the outfit.  Plus you really can’t go wrong with Jimmy Choos, now can you?  Love the makeup as well – very natural.  Hilary was certainly glowing.

Rihanna was out and about in Manhattan rocking a two tone Alexander Wang bandage dress.  She looked sexy in the black and nude dress.  She kept her accessories at a minimum, letting the stunning dress stand out on its own.  The look was very soft and feminine.  

I adore this editorial that Anja Rubik and Natasha Ploy did for June/July issue of Vogue Paris.  It looks so fun.  It makes me want to go around Paris in colorful skates and have fun in the city whilst looking amazing, of course.  Absolutely fabulous.

New York Mayor Bloomberg deemed May 28, 2009 as Burberry Day to commemorate the opening of the British brand’s new Madison Avenue American headquarters and the lighting of the 50 ft Burberry logo.  The brand also donated $500,000 to the Robin Hood Foundation to help underprivileged New Yorkers.  

The weather was also distinctly British, befitting the celebrations.  The English rain was appropriate since Burberry is practically synonymous with trench coats.  Despite the rain, celebrities came in droves to celebrate – all decked out in Burberry of course.  Side note: Alexa Chung & Hilary Rhoda wore the same dress to the event.

After four seasons of being the face of Spanish retailer, Mango, Penelope Cruz is bidding farewell.  Set to take over the reigns is none other than Penelope’s Vicky Christina Barcelona costar, Scarlett Johansson.  However, unlike Penelope, Scarlett won’t be designing a line for the retailer anytime soon.  

Mango describes Scarlett as exuding  ”a confident demeanor while remaining youthful and playful.”  And believes that the American actress will represent the brand well, embodying the ideal Mango woman, “chic, independent, and cosmopolitan.”
