So while Sienna Miller is using shampoo to wash her face, Page Six is reporting that Jessica Simpson requires a daily beauty budget of $25,000 for her new VH1 reality show, The Price of Beauty. Ironic, right?
VH1 just found out how high “The Price of Beauty” can be. Jessica Simpson is scheduled to start shooting the new show next week and travel to seven countries examining exotic beauty regimens. But VH1 isn’t happy with her budget. “To get her camera-ready each episode will cost $25,000,” said our source. “She insists on using her own hair, makeup and fashion stylists, who are more expensive than J.Lo‘s.” A VH1 rep said, “We never comment on what we spend or don’t spend.” Simpson’s rep, Cindi Berger, said, “A budget was approved when the deal was made. All parties were satisfied.”
Wow. If this story is true, it’s insane – $25K a day for a beauty regime is practically obscene, even for a celebrity. How can the everyday Jane keep up? Is this just another case of the media portraying beauty in a practically unattainable way?
Now, I don’t know if Jessica’s daily beauty budget is actually $25K or not. But I’m sure that she does spend a lot on a beauty regimen. I really don’t think she needs a lot of beauty products and services, she a pretty girl. Plus, she’s only 29. If she’s spending $25K a day at 29, how much will she spend 10 years from now? Or 20 years from now?

Apparently, Sienna Miller is very lazy – or casual, depending on how you look at it – when it comes to cleanliness and beauty regimens. The G.I. Joe actress recently admitted that she often uses shampoo to wash her face because it’s already in the shower.
‘I don’t have any beauty tips. If you only knew… I wash my face with shampoo and I’ve got bad skin because of it. I’m not the right person to ask about that sort of thing.’I don’t feel like a beautiful woman. I don’t give it too much thought. It’s not something I obsess about, and, like anyone, I get pretty insecure. Sometimes more so because there is more focus on me.’
It’s kind of surprising that Sienna uses shampoo as a face wash, I’ve never actually heard of anyone doing so. Now I can understand using shampoo instead of body wash – I mean there are those Philosophy Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash stuff that smells oh-so-yummy. But then again, I guess I can see Sienna using shampoo in lieu of face wash, she seems like a carefree spirit who really doesn’t give a damn. But you know, if Sienna is really that lazy, then I would recommend that she just keep some face wash in the shower like I do. Seems like a simple enough solution. Personally, I can’t fathom using shampoo as a facial cleanser, there’s ton of fragrance and chemical ingredients in shampoo! But maybe Sienna just uses a really expensive shampoo that’s fragrance free and organic or something like that. That’s doubtful though, since she admitted that she’s not that into beauty stuff.
Anyways, just want to say to anyone out there contemplating using shampoo in lieu of a proper facial cleanser, one word – don’t! Not only does shampoo contain tons of chemicals and fragrance that can be bad for your skin, it also possibly pore clogging. In fact, most dermatologist recommend washing your face after you shampoo and condition your hair, due to the fact that shampoo and conditioner can clog pores leading to unwanted breakouts.
