Every year, there’s one nail polish color that is the color. We’ve coveted such shades such as black, gray, purple, and navy blue over recent years. This year has been all about the green.
It all started when fashionistas worldwide spotted the minty green shade on the Chanel runway at Paris Fashion Week. When Chanel launched it’s Jade nail polish back in September, it sold out immediately. The shade is very difficult to get your hands on. In fact, I just checked eBay and a bottle of Chanel Jade which cost $25 is going for upwards of $107! Wow! That’s a lot of money for nail polish.
But don’t let the steep price tag deter you from trying the shade. Other brands have follow suit and created similar shades at a more affordable price point. If you’re enamored with the refreshing minty shade, give these Chanel Jade dupes a try.
Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Milf ($14)
Vintage mint green color. Highly pigmented color. This one comes closest to the Chanel shade.
MAC Nail Lacquer in Peppermint Patti ($12)
Creamy minty green. Also sold out and very hard to get your hands on.
Essie in Mint Candy Apple ($4.25)
Creamy, slightly blue, pale green. This one runs more aqua than the other ones listed here.
OPI Nail Polish Hey! Get in Lime ($7.99)
Bright mint green. Very similar to MAC Peppermint Patti only a bit lighter. A very good dupe for the MAC Peppermint Patti shade. Since the MAC shade is very hard to find, try this one instead.
Barry M Nail Paint in Mint Green (£2.95)
Bright, light mint green.
Orly Mint Mojito ($3.99)
Cool crisp green. It is also formulated to prevent chipping.
Nubar Nail Lacquer in Green Tea ($7.49)
Mint green color. Nubar is also toluene, pthalates, and formaldehyde free.
China Glaza Nail Lacquer in Re-Fresh Mint
Pale mint green. A bit more green than Essie Mint Candy Apple.
