When creating her Golden Globe look, Olivia Wilde and makeup artist Spencer Barnes took inspiration from French girls. “Olivia’s look was inspired by images she collected of what she refers to as ‘the French girl.’ I wanted her skin to be fresh and clean with eyes that extended outward. Touches of rose gold and sheer pink-veiled lips completed her youthful coquette-ish look,” said Spencer.

“Maybe I was inspired by Black Swan or maybe the dress was so regal that I thought I would give Catherine a little edge…a touch of wickedness. Strapless emerald green is one of the most striking colors for a dress. Add to it lots of exposed skin and you’ve got a fashion firework! ” said makeup artist Brett Freedman.
