Blake Lively attended the Realm Boutique opening in New York City last night wearing a blue oversized button-down blouse and high-waisted sequin skirt, both from Vivienne Westwood. The Gossip Girl actress accessorized the look with a tan belt, black Chanel wedge booties, and Lorraine Schwartz diamonds. Blake styled the look straight from the Vivienne Westwood Fall 2010 Red Label collection runway (see picture below). I’m not feeling it. I’m especially not liking the blouse peeking out under the skirt. What is the shirt playing peek-a-boo? I don’t get it. It’s an example of runway styling that doesn’t translate into real life. This look doesn’t do it for me. What do you think? Are you feeling it?
Keira Knightly debuted a new haircut, a bob, as she sat front row at the Chanel show in Paris. The actress is loving her new shorter haircut, which she had “bobbed” about a month ago and refreshed the look with a trim this morning. Personally, I think she pulls of shorter hair better than long hair. But what do you think? Are you loving the actress’s new ‘do?
Earlier today, Emma Watson debuted her new pixie cut via Facebook proclaiming to her fans:
“Dear all. Cut my hair off a few days ago… Feels incredible. I love it. I’ve wanted to do this for years and years; it’s the most liberating thing ever. Hope you like. Big love from Emma x”
Emma’s new cut is very Mia Farrow in Rosemary’s Baby, no? I admire girls who go short, especially when our culture prize long hair – think of all those Hollywood starlets with extensions. And a lot of girls think of long hair as almost a beauty security blanket – think of all those girls crying on America’s Next Top Model when they learn that they have to cut all their hair off. So it’s refreshing to see someone rock a pixie cut. And as Emma said, it certainly is liberating. I’m thinking of chopping off my hair and donating it again, but I don’t think I can go that short, I’m not that ballsy. The shortest I’ve ever gone was a bob. But I like the look on Emma, it’s cute! What do you think?
Scarlett Johansson debuted a new shorter ‘do at the 2010 Comicon. What do you think of the new shoulder-grazing tousled lob? Is ScarJo’s new ‘do fab or drab?
Blake Lively showed up at Comicon to promote her new movie, Green Latern, in a pair of black satin harem pants and a white scooped top. Some have loved the Preen ensemble on the actress, while others haven’t really warmed up to the look. Personally, I don’t think Blake pulls it off, I think it looks much better on the model when it was presented during the Preen Resort 2011 show (pictured below). What do you think, does Blake pull it off? It is fab or drab?
A lot of people are loving the Christopher Kane floral-embroidered leather-and-lace dress that Emma Watson wore to a party in honor of the London Show Rooms. We’ll be honest and say we’re not really digging the dress. Love the hair, makeup, and the Casadei pumps – just hate the dress. But what do you guys out there think? Are you feeling the dress?
Kelly Osbourne has been getting a lot of press lately about her new slim figure, but that’s not the only thing that is new with Kelly these days. The reality star recently showed off her new lavender locks inspired by none other than Australian comedian Dame Edna Everage.
Personally, I’m a fan. The hair color seems to really suit her. I’m always a fan of experimenting with unconventional hair color. In fact, in high school I even dyed my hair blue – not the whole shebang, just the tips, but still, my hair was blue.
So what do you think of Kelly’s unconventional hue? Fab or drab?
I can’t deiced whether I like these Christian Louboutins or not. Now I do love me some Christian Louboutin and I adore bold, colorful, statement shoes. But I think these Bianca Slingback Platform Pumps might just be a little too colorful. And for $755, I would rather invest it in something more classic that I could wear over and over. But if I could afford to splurge, I might be tempted to pick up a pair because admittedly these heels definitely look fun!
I don’t know, what do you think of these heels, fab or drab?
Leighton Meester isn’t one to shy away from fashion risks. Remember the Louis Vuitton getup she wore to the MET Costume Gala?
Last night Leighton attended the opening of club Klutch in Miami. As usual, the Gossip Girl actress was experimenting with fashion. This time she wore a lace peekaboo minidress with scalloped cutouts. What do you think of this look, fab or drab?
Yesterday, Jennifer Lopez attended a Miami Dolphins game wearing a gray-blue corduroy jumpsuit. While I’m not a fan of the corduroy jumpsuit, I would have to say that her makeup was fab. What do you think of the jumpsuit? Fab or drab? Would you ever wear one?
On Saturday, Nicole Richie debuted a new, darker hue. Nicole was at my home away from home, South Coast Plaza, to launch her House of Harlow 1960 Holiday Collection at Bloomingdales. I like the new hue. The rich, chocolatey color works for her. What do you think of Nicole as a brunette? Or do you prefer her as a blonde?
You know, I’ve always wondered what Taylor Swift would look like with straight hair and now I know. The country crooner was barely recognizable when she traded in her signature ringlets for pin straight hair. So what do you think of hair makeover?
Karl Lagerfeld gave the lovable sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea a makeover. The figurine recently sold at a WWF fundraiser in Paris for €1,000 (that’s about $1,500). What do you think of the made-over SpongeBob SquarePants?
SJP was spotted on the set of the Sex and the City sequel looking very…um, 80s. I know the 80s are big right now, but hopefully this look is a flashback of when Carrie first came to New York not present day Carrie. Are you feeling the Flashdance vibe?
