1. Look at the solder joint. ws2812b led strip 144 produced by regular led strip manufacturers is produced by SMT process, solder paste and reflow soldering process. Therefore, the solder joint on the LED lamp strip is smooth and the amount of solder will not be great, and the solder joint is in an arc shape from the FPC pad to the LED electrode. 2. Look at the quality of FPC. FPC is divided into two kinds of copper and calendered copper. The copper foil of the copper plate is protruding, and it can be seen from the connection between the welding pad and FPC. The calendered copper is closely connected with the FPC as a whole, can be bent arbitrarily without the phenomenon of pad falling off. If the copper plate is bent overly often, the pad will fall off, and the elevated temperature during maintenance will also cause the pad to fall off.
3. Look at the cleanliness of the surface of the LED lamp strip. If the SMT process is used to produce the LED light strip, its surface cleanliness is extremely excellent, you can not see any impurities and stains. However, if the counterfeit LED strip is produced by hand welding process, no matter how the surface is cleaned, there will remain stains and cleaning traces, and there will be flux and tin residue on the surface of FPC.
4. Look at the packaging. Regular LED light strips will be packed in an anti-static coil, generally 5 meters in a roll or 10 meters in a roll, and then sealed with an anti-static moisture-proof bag. In order to save costs, the copycat version of the LED light strip will use a recycled coil, and there is no anti-static moisture-proof bag. If you look carefully at the coil, you can see that there are marks and scratches left by the removal of labels.
5. Instructions and specifications of the LED light strip will be attached to the packing box, and LED connector or booth will also be equipped; knock-off versions of the LED strip packaging boxes do not include these accessories, because some manufacturers can save money after all.
